Holistic Therapy for Anxiety in Shreveport, Louisiana

Starting therapy can feel like a leap. You might worry it’ll stir up too much or wonder if your problems are even “bad enough.” It can feel extremely overwhelming even to start looking for a therapist on top of acknowledging what’s been keeping you up at night. Maybe you’ve been the strong one for so long that asking for help feels wrong or a sign of weakness.

I’ve been there. I hear where you’re coming from, and let me say this gently and clearly: needing support doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human.

You weren’t meant to carry the weight of everything alone, and you don’t have to. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” what is “broken” about you. Hello! You’re not broken! You don’t need to be fixed! You just need a space to dive deep and get yourself out of survival mode.

I strive to create a space for you to understand the real root of your pain—the beliefs, patterns, and parts of you that formed in response to life’s hardest moments—and help you step out of survival and back into connection with yourself.

You can keep showing up for others. But it’s time to show up for you, too.

Finally feel like yourself again—without having to hold it all together.

Managing everything with a tight smile and an even tighter chest?Trying to think your way out of anxiety, shame, or the feeling that you’re never quite enough?

These examples and more are a sign of pure exhaustion and over-reliance on fumes.

I don’t want to slap a coping skill on top of your pain. I want to help you gently untangle what got you here and let the parts of you that are trying so hard to protect you know they can finally rest.

Picture this:

  • Walking into a room where you don’t have to pretend.

  • Learning to name your needs without guilt.

  • Feeling a lightness you didn’t realize was possible.

  • Permitting yourself to explore who you’d like to become.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

That’s the kind of change we’re working toward—slow, real, rooted-in-your-body kind of relief.

 FAQs

  • At this time, I do not accept insurance.!

  • To make therapy accessible to everyone, if there is financial hardship please contact me so we can discuss options.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have or aren't using insurance an estimate of the expected total charges for any non-emergency healthcare services services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask any health care provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Be sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.

  • Our sessions are held in my office at 820 Jordan Street, Suite 570, in Shreveport, LA. My office is conveniently located off of I-20 and is handicapped accessible.

  • Before our first session, I will send you Intake forms via your client portal. I will need you to complete these before attending our first session!

I would also like you to reflect on what you’d like to get out of therapy (i.e. set better boundaries with myself, process my experience with trauma, etc.)

  • Typically, the first session begins with some brief admin info and gives time to answer any questions you may have about the Intake forms. Other than that, the majority of time will be spent getting to know you and what is bringing you into therapy. I like to go at your pace which means this may carry over into our second session.

  • The duration of your treatment is individually based on your needs. Unfortunately, I am unable to give you a projected estimate. However, I do frequently check in with you to assess the progress towards your goals. Based on these check-ins, we can start talking about bringing your time in services to an end.

  • At the beginning of our work together, I prefer to meet with you weekly as we are establishing a therapeutic relationship. After 4-8 weeks, we can reassess the frequency of sessions.

Whatever it is, it doesn’t get to hold power over you anymore .
